Chavan takes swipe at Modi over death sentence to Jadhav

Press Trust of India Nagpur
Maharashtra Congress chief Ashok Chavan today mocked the Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the death sentence awarded by a military court in Pakistan to the Indian national and former Navy officer Kulbhushan Jadhav.

"Now where is your (Modi's) 56-inch chest," Chavan said, speaking at a signature campaign started by state Congress seeking Jadhav's release.

If Modi government has courage, it should get Jadhav released from Pakistan's captivity immediately, Chavan said.

He demanded that Union Government should send a delegation to Pakistan and approach that country's Supreme Court for Jadhav's release.
