Cheat arrested for luring unemployed youth with jobs

The Cyberabad police arrested a man yesterday for allegedly cheating unemployed youth to the tune of Rs 4.5 lakh in the name of offering them jobs, the police said here today.

The accused, Rajendra Prasad, organised a fraudulent recruitment drive using the name of 'Vedanta Aluminium' and other noted companies to lure unemployed candidates by promising them jobs.

Later, fake offer letters were issued and money was collected from the victims who attended fake interviews, the police said.

Further investigations are on to nab his accomplice, who also conducted the fraudulent recruitment drive, the police said.
