Cheat held in south Delhi

Vishal Shera was apprehended from south Delhi recently following investigations into a complaint filed by a person, Rajpal, who claimed he was cheated of Rs 23,000 by a person who promised him a bank loan.

Police recovered Rs 13,000 from Shera, Deputy Commissioner of Police (South), Chhaya Sharma, said.

Shera allegedly posed as a financier of an automobile showroom, met Rajpal and assured him that he will arrange bank finance for purchasing motorcycle.

Rajpal then gave him Rs 23,000 and 12 blank cheques of Punjab National Bank. Later, when he came to know that there was no such financier working with the showroom, he approached police, Sharma said.
