Freight rates for nine-tonne payload section for Mysore and Chennai were higher by Rs 1,000 at the local truck transport market in the national capital today supported by tight position of trucks against pick up in cargo movements.
Transporters said besides fresh cargo movements, less availability of trucks in the market mainly pushed up Chennai and Mysore freight rates.
Delhi to Chennai and Mysore freight rates moved up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 67,000 and Rs 69,000, respectively.
Elsewhere, freight rates for other destinations remained at overnight levels on some support.
