In an effort to highlight the achievements of UPA at the Centre and UDF government headed by Oommen Chandy in the state, Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee President Ramesh Chennithala today set out on a month-long road campaign.

Inaugurating the campaign at Hosangudi, Chandy launched a scathing attack on the CPI(M)-led LDF Opposition over its non-cooperation on developmental issues.

Referring to the recent Assembly session, Chandy said, instead of debating vital issues of the state, LDF had sought to stall proceedings of the House over political issues.

The campaign will be touring all 140 Assembly segments of Kerala highlighting the performance of the UPA at the Centre and UDF in the state, whose developmental initiatives were based on the concept of inclusive growth, Chennithala said.

Several senior Congress leaders of the state and Union Minister K C Venugopal were present at the launch of the campaign.

The campaign will end on May 18 at Parassla, the southernmost town, with Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi addressing a rally.
