Chg: Revenue official held for accepting Rs 10,000 bribe

A woman Patwari (revenue official) was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 in exchange of an official favour, in Chhattisgarh's Mahasamund district.

Nanda Sahu (27), posted at Komakhan village under Bagbahra tehsil,was caught while she was accepting the bribeamount from the complainant for issuing new 'Rin Pustika' (land record book) of his land, an ACB official told PTI.

The complainant had moved an application for the new land record book.

According to the official, Sahu allegedly demanded Rs 10,000 for issuing the new land record book, following which the complainant approached the ACB.
 

Sahu was held when she was accepting the bribe money at her office in Komakhan.

A case was registered against her under Prevention of Corruption Act1988.
