Senior NCP leader and former Maharashtra deputy chief minister Chhagan Bhujbal today underwent prostate surgery at the city-based Lilavati hospital, an official said.
"Bhujbal was admitted to Lilavati for further treatment. After carrying out some tests in the last couple of days, it was decided to conduct a surgery," the official said.
Dr V Ravishankar, CEO of Lilavati hospital, said, "He underwent prostate surgery and is doing well. No pancreatic surgery was carried out today."
Bhujbal is currently out on bail and has been hospitalised for several ailments, including a pancreatic illness.
