The monsoon session of the Chhattisgarh state assembly will begin from July 15 and have just five sittings, an assembly official said today.
"The monsoon session will open on July 15 and will conclude on July 19," assembly secretary Devendra Verma told reporters.
This is also being considered as the last session of the Chhattisgarh Assembly before the assembly polls slated during the year-end.
According to assembly sources, the house will pay homage to Chhattisgarh Congress President Nandkumar Patel, former Leader of Opposition Mahendra Karma, former Union Minister Vidya Charan Shukla and former MLA Uday Mudaliyar, who were killed in the May 25 Maoist attack in Bastar.
