Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh has greeted people of the state after it was found to stand at second place among 27 states, for implementing central government schemes, a government official said here today.
"Four months after the launch of the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Yojana as well as the Atal Pension Yojana, as many as 39,76,175 people in the state have been enrolled with different banks until August 29 and their numbers are increasing," a Finance Directorate official said.
The official said that Tripura stood first in implementing the three schemes across the country, while Himachal Pradesh stood at third place.
Karnataka and Uttarakhand stood fourth and fifth respectively for effectively executing these central government schemes, the official said.
