Chhattisgarh CM visits his constituency after poll win

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh, who led BJP to its third successive victory in the assembly election, arrived here today to a warm welcome from his supporters.

A large number of people and representatives of various social organisations assembled at the Chief Minister's camp office here to welcome Singh who won the election from Rajnandgaon.

A select group of people garlanded him and congratulated the 61-year-old BJP leader on completing a hat-trick of victories in assembly polls.

Speaking on the occasion, Singh, who will be sworn in for a third term at a function in capital Raipur tomorrow, thanked the people of Rajnandgaon for once again reposing faith in him.
 

The Chief Minister earlier visited the ancient Sheetladevi Temple near here and offered prayers. He was accompanied by his son Abhishek.
