"If there are genuine concerns, Centre will address them accordingly," Chidambaram told a delegation of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) which apprised him in New Delhi.
The delegation led by Union Minister of State for Rural Development Agatha Sangma, Thomas A Sangma, Rajya Sabha MP, Conrad K Sangma, Leader of Opposition in Meghalaya Assembly and James K Sangma, MLA.
The delegation apprised Chidambaram about the present law and order situation in Meghalaya which had taken a toll on the lives of the common people, NCP Spokesperson James K Sangma said.
According to James, Home Minister said if the GNLA was ready to surrender, then Centre would cease operations against the banned outfit and also assured that the surrendered cadre would be treated properly. PTI JOP AMD
