Chairman of the Anti-Terrorist Front and former president of Indian Youth Congress M S Bitta today said former Union Home Minsiter P Chidambaram, under fire for changing with an affidavit related to Ishrat Jehan encounter case, should be face legal action.

"Gujarat government and Gujarat police were being humiliated in Isharat Jehan encounter case, so Chidambaram should face legal procedure in the same way that Gujarat police officials involved in the case faced," Bitta said.

He said legal action against Chidamabaram should be conducted in Gujarat.

"The legal procedure should be conducted in Gujarat because Gujarat police officials had to fight the case in Gujarat," Bitta said here during a stopover on way to Somnath.

Calling former Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) chief D G Vanzara and other police officials jailed in connection with Ishrat Jehan case as "victims of political terrorism," he emphasised on the need to have an "anti-terrorist military court" for quick delivery of verdict in cases related to terrorism.
