Chief of Naval Staff visits Eastern Naval Command

Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Devendra Kumar Joshi arrived here today on a two-visit to the Eastern Naval Command, an official release said.

He was accompanied by his wife Chitra Joshi, who is President of the Navy Wives' Welfare Association, according to an Eastern Naval Command press release issued here today.

Besides visiting establishments of the command and reviewing the Eastern Fleet at sea, the Chief of Naval Staff will preside over the induction ceremony of the Hawk 132 Advanced Jet Trainer aircraft into the Indian Navy, scheduled to be held at Naval Air Station INS Dega on Wednesday.

Admiral Joshi will also undertake a sortie in the P8I LRMR aircraft and visit Naval Air Station INS Rajali at Arakkonam, in Tamil Nadu.
 

Admiral Joshi and his wife Chitra Joshi are scheduled to depart Visakhapatnam on Thursday, the release said.
