The Mizoram Cabinet Tuesday decided to constitute a committee under chief secretary Lalnunmawia Chuaungo to look into various issues being faced by the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India (ICFAI) University, Mizoram, an official statement said.

The meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Zoramthanga decided to form a committee comprising of representatives from the state government, ICFAI University headquarters, teaching staff and non-teaching staff from ICFAI University Mizoram.

"The committee was constituted to study and discuss various issues faced by the ICFAI University, Mizoram and to come up with suggestions or steps to be taken to resolve the issues," the statement quoted Chuaungo as saying.

Agitation was recently launched by ICFAI students protesting the fee structures and other wide-ranging issues, prompting the vice chancellor Lt Gen (Retd) Dr A K Mishra to resign recently.
