A child was abducted this morning after unidentified persons overtook his school bus and shot at the driver when he tried to stop them in east Delhi, police said.
The incident took place at a time when the police have claimed that there is ground-to-air security in the national capital in view of the India-ASEAN commemorative summit and the Republic Day.
Police are currently searching for the abducted kid and have alerted their counterparts in Uttar Pradesh, officials said.
They are probing various angles including personal enmity being the trigger for the abduction of the child, the officials.
