Child electrocuted in Muzaffarnagar

A five-year-old child died after he came in contact with a live electric wire in Chitkra village of Muzaffarnagar district, police said today.

Arvind, a resident of the village under Jansath police station, was electrocuted last evening. He was rushed to a hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.

In another incident, a 12-year-old boy drowned in a pond in Jhinjhina town in Shamli district yesterday, police said.

The boy died in the pond where he had brought his cattles for a bath.

The body has been recovered from the pond.
