"Police in the evening recovered child Gurmilap Singh, who was kidnapped from the Golden Temple during intervening night of Friday and Saturday," said Koustav Sharma, DCP Punjab Police.

Police traced the three-and-a-half-year old child near the Golden Temple, where kidnappers left the boy abandon, he said, adding that passerby informed the police about the child minor.

The child was handed over to the parents.
