A child was killed while her mother sustained bullet injuries when the latter's husband accidentally opened fire at Nirana village in the district, police said today.
Police said that the incident took place last evening when a person identified as Javed suddenly opened fired killing his two-year-old daughter Shifa and critically injuring his wife Nasrin (26) who was rushed to a hospital in a serious condition.
Police has registered a case against Javed who is absconding.
