The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights has asked the Rajkot District Collector to probe the incident where BJP's Lok Sabha candidate, Mohan Kundariya, walked on the back of several youths.

The commission has sought a report within three days and the district social welfare official has been asked to probe the matter, Rajkot Collector Rajendra Kumar said.

Kundariya, sitting MLA from Tankara, was caught on camera when he walked on the back of youths who were displaying their yoga skills at a yoga camp on March 23.

Kundariya later apologised but maintained that the youths were in the age group of 20 to 25 years, and they often participated in such demonstrations.

"I did not want to hurt anyone's sentiments and I apologised for my behaviour," Kundariya had said.
