Childline rescues runaway girl from Madhya Pradesh

A 11-year-old girl who had run away from her house from Madhya Pradesh has been rescued from Thotabengre near here, Childline sources said here.

Some locals at Thotabengre called up Childline on Saturday saying they saw the girl crying alone in public.

The Childline officials reached the spot and took her to a rehabilitation centre.

The girl told the officials that she had run away from her house in Madhya Pradesh and reached Mangaluru by train.

The officials took the address of her parents and are trying to contact them, the sources said.
