A group of 45 children from Kashmir valley, including twenty girls, today met Union Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju as part of a 'Bharat darshan' tour conducted by border guarding force BSF.
The students, in the age group of 10-16 years, were told by the Minister to become responsible citizens of the country even as he also asked them to visit the North Eastern states of India, a region Rijiju hails from.
The children, hailing from remote parts of Kashmir region, have been taken to Mysore, Bangalore, Agra, Ajmer and other places of historical importance during this tour.
Border Security Force chief D K Pathak accompanied the group during the meeting with Rijiju at his office here in North block.
