Chill makes its presence felt in city

The national capital woke up to a foggy morning with the chill making its presence felt due to dip in the minimum temperature.

The minimum temperature at 11.2 degrees Celsius was two degrees below the season's average. Yesterday, the minimum had settled at 13.5 degrees Celsius.

The skies will be mainly clear through the day, the weather office said, adding the maximum temperature is expected to be around 25 degrees Celsius.

Visibility at 8.30 AM was 600 meters when moderate to shallow fog were observed in certain areas of the city. Humidity around the same time was 93 per cent.
 

The average reading of the National Air Quality Index was 'very poor' at 10 AM.

Yesterday, the maximum temperature was 24.6 degrees Celsius.
