Red chilli and coriander prices rose by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today largely largely on the back of fall in supplies from producing belts against increased demand from retailers and stockists.

Besides, firming trend in futures market also supported the uptrend.

Red chilli and coriander prices were up by Rs 100 each to conclude at Rs 7,400-12,400 and Rs 11,600-16,600 per quintal, respectively.

Traders said buying by retailers and stockists against fall in supplies from producing belts, mainly pushed up chilli and coriander prices at the wholesale kirana market here.
