Chilli, coriander rise on stockists buying

Red chilli and coriander prices rose by Rs 200 per quintal in the national capital today on fresh buying by retailers and stockists amid low stocks.

Besides, fall in supplies from producing belts supported the upside in prices.

Red chilli and coriander traded Rs 200 each higher at Rs 7,500-12,500 and Rs 12,000-17,000 per quintal,respectively.

Following are today's quotations:

Ajwain (per kg) 165-215, black pepper (per kg) 775-955, betel-nut (kg) 285-335, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 1,700-1,750 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 1,800-1,900.

Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 780-850, cardamom (colour robin) 720-750, cardamom bold 750-800, cardamom extra (bold) 950-980 and cloves 720-820.
