Red chilli and turmeric prices fell by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today owing to subdued demand from retailers and stockists.

Red chilli and turmeric prices were down by Rs 100 each to conclude at Rs 8,400-13,000 and Rs 7,500-12,300 per quintal, respectively.

Marketmen said sluggish demand from retailers and stockists against sufficient stocks mainly pulled down chilli and turmeric prices.

Following were today's quotations per quintal:

Cardamom small (per kg): Chitridar 700-750, cardamom (colour robin) 680-740, cardamom bold 730-750, cardamom extra (bold) 900-950 and cloves (per kg) 950-975.
