Chilly winds sweep across Delhi

Chilly winds swept across the national capital today even as the sun shone bright during the day offering brief relief from cold conditions to Delhiites.

According to MeT department officials, the day temperature settled three notches below the season's average at 18.3 degrees Celsius, two degrees more than yesterday's maximum, while the minimum was recorded at 10 degrees Celsius.

Foggy and overcast conditions were witnessed in the morning as the visibility was recorded 400 meters at Safdarjung. However, as the day progressed, it improved to 1,000 and 1,500 meters at 11.30 AM and 2.30 PM respectively.

Humidity level oscillated between 95 and 57 per cent.
 

The MeT has predicted clear skies for tomorrow along with moderate foggy conditions in the morning.

"Skies will be mainly clear tomorrow. There will be moderate fog in the morning. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover at 18 and 10 degrees Celsius respectively," said the MeT forecast.
