One more person has succumbed to the deadly H7N9 bird flu in China, taking the death toll to nine since the first case of human infection with the virus was reported late last month.
The Chinese health officials yesterday also confirmed four new cases of bird flu taking the total number of those infected till date to 28, state-run Xinhua reported.
So far 13 cases of H7N9 infections had been confirmed in China's biggest city Shanghai, of which five patients died.

The officials have said there has been no case of human-to-human transmission and that the bird flu cases remain isolated, Xinhua added.
