China has made public nine cases uncovered during a crackdown on online child pornography or children-related illegal publications.

The cases, published by the National Office Against Pornographic and Illegal Publications, include spreading child pornography or indecency with underage girls through videos or words.

Authorities have dealt with cases involving sexual or violent content at popular video sharing and cartoon websites.

There were also two cases involving unlicensed publication of children's books or copyright violation, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.
