Some individuals were found to have used their microblog accounts to distribute video clips, pictures, text and links related to topics such as "one-night stands," "flirtatious self-shots and candid images" and "teen prostitution," the State Internet Information Office (SIIO) said today.
"These acts violated the law and have had a bad influence on the public in terms of perverting social morals and disrupting order on the Internet," it said.
The SIIO said public security authorities have begun criminal investigations on some of the accounts' owners. PTI KJV
