The aid is for the purpose of providing relief to the flood victims. Under the relief operations, the first batch of 2,500 tents will be sent to Kuala Lumpur by air, Sun Jiwen, spokesperson of the Ministry of Commerce said.

Other goods and materials were being prepared according to the needs of the two countries and would be dispatched soon, Sun was quoted as saying by state-run Xinhua news agency.

China has decided to offer humanitarian aid worth 20 million yuan (USD 3.26 million) each to the two countries, the report said.
