A Chinese policeman was sentenced today to three years in jail by a court here for intentionally injuring a seven-month-old baby by hurling her to the ground.
Guo Zengxi, a policeman of Public Security Bureau of Linzhou City who was under the influence of alcohol took the baby from her parents and threw her to the ground at the entrance of a karaoke club in Linzhou.
He was convicted and sent to jail for intentionally injuring a seven month old baby by a court in central China's Henan Province, state-run Xinhua Agency reported.

The baby suffered slight head injuries after the incident.
Guo was detained on August 17, 2013 and the trial started on January 31.
A statement issued by the court said that Guo confessed to the crime and said in the court that he would not file an appeal, reports said.
