The court in south China's Guangdong province sentenced Wu Shengyou for running the fake currency racket from September 2009 to April 2010, during which they printed counterfeit notes with a face value of 195 million yuan (USD 30.6 million).
Besides Wu, the seven others received penalties ranging from life imprisonment to a five-year jail term for forging or transporting notes, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.
