Zhang Hang, who belong to Chong Qing city in China, was apprehended on July seven, a senior police official said.
"After we located him, his passport was checked and it was found that his visa was till October 2011. He could not converse with us as he did not know Hindi or English.
"We took him to the Chinese embassy and his passport was given to the Counsular Jiang Shang who told us that he has a valid passport but did not have a valid Indian visa," the official said.
A case under Foreigners Act has been registered against him.
