A 45 year-old Chinese national was ordered to be deported back to Singapore by the Immigration officials after he arrived at the airport here early today, airport officials said.
The man arrived from Singapore by a private carrier but was "refused immigration clearance" to enter the country, they said.
Immigration officials directed the private carrier to fly him back to Singapore in the flight's return journey or the next available flight, they said.
The officials, however, did not disclose the reason for deporting the Chinese, who possessed a tourist visa.
The man has been detained in the airport was likely to be sent back to Singapore tonight, they added.
