Chinese Premier leaves on a three-nation tour

Chinese Premier Li Keqiang today embarked on a three-nation tour to Kazakhstan, Serbia and Thailand during which he will attend a series of international meetings.

On the first leg of his tour, Li will visit Kazakhstan. During his stay there, he will hold the second regular meeting between the China-Kazakhstan heads of government with Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Masimov.

He will also attend the 13th prime ministers' meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) in Kazakhstan.

Li will then head to Serbia on an official visit, where he will attend the third leaders' meeting of China and Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries.
 

The 59-year-old leader will visit Thailand in the final leg and attend the fifth summit of the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) Economic Cooperation.
