Popular Chinese singer Yin Xiangjie has been arrested for alleged drug abuse and its illegal possesion, the latest celebrity to be involved in drug offenses after Jackie Chan's son was held on similar charges.
The 45-year-old singer was arrested by the Beijing police in a residential community in Chaoyang district two days ago and more than ten grams of drugs, including crystal methamphetamine, or "ice", were seized from the scene.
Yin confessed to illegally possessing and taking drugs. He is under criminal detention, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.
