Chinese tourist kidnapped in northwest Pakistan

A Chinese tourist was today kidnapped by unknown gunmen in this northwestern city of Pakistan, police said.

The tourist riding bicycle was abducted from Daraban road in Dera Ismail Khan District of Khyber Pakthunkhwa province bordering South Waziristan Agency, police said.

The tourist was heading towards Zhob province of Balcuhistan on bicycle when he was intercepted by the kidnappers.

The police recovered the bicycle and a bag.

Chief Minister Pervez Khattak directed the police for early recovery of the tourist.
