A 62-year-old Chinese worker who killed six persons, including his four colleagues, and injured four others in a shooting spree in Shanghai was today sentenced to death by a local court.
Shanghai No 2 Intermediate People's Court ruled Fan Jieming should be sentenced to death and all of his personal properties be confiscated by the country.
The six persons who died in 2013 included four of Fan's colleagues, an unlicensed taxi driver and a military barrack sentinel, the Shanghai Daily reported.

Three of his four colleagues were murdered due to a dispute in the factory on division of materials and facilities after the chemical company in Baoshan District halted its production.
"I regretted that I killed them, especially the innocent cabbie and the young sentinel," Fan had said during a previous court hearing held in January last year.
"I used to be a soldier and I also have a family. I want to say I am sorry to the victims' families," he said.
The court said that police also found a massive number of guns and bullets from Fan's place after the killing.
