A five member Chinese youth delegation led by vice-president of All-China Youth Federation Zhou Changkui called on the Union Sports Minister Sarbananda Sonowal here today.
During their half an hour meeting, both sides recalled the historic, cultural and friendly ties between the two countries and discussed matters related to Skill Development, Entrepreneurship, Youth Affairs and Sports.
Both sides noted with satisfaction the benefits of ongoing bilateral Youth Exchange Programme since 2006 and expressed hope that such visits will bring youths of the two countries closer in future to enhance knowledge about each other's countries.

Both sides exchanged views on Rapid Urbanisation, Transport system, Road, Power generation, Vocational Training in the context of economic development and employability of youths.
They also discussed sports infrastructure and training programmes for sports persons. It was felt during the meeting that possibility to have a bilateral exchange programme of vocational teachers may be explored by the two countries.
The meeting was organised as a one hundred member Youth delegation is currently visiting India from September 11-19 under the youth exchange programme between India and China.
100 youths from both the countries visit every year which involves interaction with local youth, visits to tourist and cultural sites and introduction to economic and social activities.
In addition, it also has elements of educational value and inter-active sessions with youth organizations like NYKS and NSS.
