Cholamandalam MS Risk Services, part of the diversified business conglomerate Murugappa Group, today signed an agreement with Consortium of Accredited Healthcare Organisations (CAHO) to offer joint certification programme on fire safety preparedness.
The signing of the MoU aims to address the gaps in knowledge and systems that hospitals face in the areas of fire prevention, protection and preparedness, a press release said.
"We are happy to associate with CAHO in their safety initiative. Through this certification programme, we hope to educate the participants on fire safety norms and mitigation measures," Chola MS Risk Services, Chief Executive, N V Subbarao said.
"Considering our 23 years of experience in the design of fire protection and detection systems, we are confident that we will be able to add tremendous value to hospitals on fire safety management," he said.
Critical concepts will be taught through use of simulations and innovative use of Virtual Reality Technology as per the agreement.
"...we believe that this alliance with Chola MS Risk Services will further consolidate our safety offerings to hospitals," CAHO, Presdent, Vijay Aggarwal said.
