"Directing movies is something I always wanted to do. It is not a sudden transition. We have been working on the project for a year," Bosco told PTI.
"It was Imtiaz Ali, his wife Preeti and Siddharth Roy Kapur (of UTV Motion Pictures) who have faith in me as a director. They feel I can do justice to this project."
The film is being backed by Imtiaz, Preeti and UTV Motion Pictures.
Reportedly, TV actor Sushant Singh Rajput is to feature in the film, but Bosco said nothing is finalised yet.
"I don't know if UTV has spoken to him (Sushant Singh Rajput). I have not met him," he said.
