Chouhan launches mass-contact program to reach voters

With an eye on the Assembly polls due later this year, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today launched the BJP's 'Maha-jansampark Abhiyan' (mass-contact campaign).
The campaign, which will continue till March 20, will witness party workers contacting voters at booth levels and informing them about welfare schemes and achievements of the state government.
Launching the campaign at Kotra Sulatanabad's Naya Basera area here on the occasion of Sant Ravidas Jayanti, Chouhan said that his government had ensured welfare of all sections of the society and formulated a number of schemes.
Among others, the state has made a separate provision for scholarships to SC/ST students and has decided to guarantee their loans, he mentioned.
 
The campaign is expected to reach voters in 14 municipal corporations, 88 municipal councils, 236 nagar panchayats and 23,000 village panchayats across 53,000 booths of the state.
