Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan here reviewed the ongoing preparations for the upcoming literary event 'Vishwa Hindi Sammelan', to be held in the state capital for the first time.
Chairing the high-level meeting yesterday, Chouhan took a stock of the of the preparations which are underway for the prestigious programme which is to be held from September 10-12, a Public Relation department official said today.
The chief minister directed officials to complete all work within the stipulated time-frame and said it should be ensured that professors, students and Hindi literature lovers participate in the 'sammelan' in large numbers.

About 2,000 representatives from across the country and abroad will participate in it, the officer said.
A brochure containing information about tourist destinations has been printed for participants, he added.
Website of the 'sammelan' is being maintained by MEA and the link (of the event) is also available on the websites of tourism and culture departments.
A special Hindi Sammelan Secretariat has been established at Bhopal for the event by MEA in the premises of Makhanlal Chaturvedi Rashtriya Patrkartia Evam Sanchar Vishwavidyalaya (MCRPV).
Minister of State for Tourism and Culture Surendra Patwa, Rajya Sabha MP Anil Madhav Dave, chief secretary Antony DeSa and principal secretary Culture Manoj Shrivastava, vice chancellor, MCRPV B K Kuthiyala and vice chancellor of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Hindi Vishwavidyalaya Mohanlal Cheepa and others were present on the occasion.
