Ronald Fenty said the former couple, who were in a relationship unless Brown assaulted Rihanna three years ago, should forget their abusive past, reported Contactmusic.
"Chris has matured a lot. I think everybody has to put the past behind them. And they seem to have done that. Being a couple is all up to her," said Fenty, who had a strained relationship with his superstar daughter after he spoke to the media about the assault case.
Rihanna and Chris have apparently been spending a lot of time together in New York over the last few weeks and Fenty hopes they will get back together.
"Every decision is her decision. I just wish her the best. I hope things will work out," he said.
