Rapper Chris Brown followed orders to turn himself in over an alleged hit-and-run case last May, but was released 45 minutes later.
The 24-year-old turned himself in at a Van Nuys, California jail one day before the set deadline. He was booked and released on his own recognisance 45 minutes later, reported TMZ Online.
The singer has pleaded not guilty to the hit-and-run charges and has since escaped two misdemeanour charges filed against him by the LA District Attorney's office, the driving without a valid license and proof of insurance offences against him having been dismissed.
