'Guardians of the Galaxy' star Chris Pratt is in talks to join the remake of 'Magnificent Seven'.

Pratt, 35, would join the already cast Denzel Washington in director Antoine Fuqua's movie, Deadline reported.

'Magnificent Seven' tells the tale of an oppressed Mexican peasant village who enlist the help of seven gunfighters to defend their homes.

Pratt is in line for the role of a gunfighter named Farraday in the retelling.

The MGM original was released in 1960 from director John Sturges, starring Yul Brynner, Steve McQueen and Charles Bronson.
