Actor Chris Rock is returning to TV as a stand-up comedian after a gap of eight years.
The 51-year-old star also set an all-time comedian record with USD 40 million after signing two Netflix stand-up specials, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Rock's first show will air next year, following a new world tour that is currently being planned.
"Chris Rock is a beloved actor and director, and his remarkable stand-up makes him comic royalty. There is no one like him, and Netflix offers the global platform and creative freedom that will serve as a perfect home for someone with his incredible talent," Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos said.
