Pop star Christina Aguilera has recorded a song that will be featured on the soundtrack of the upcoming Jennifer Lawrence starrer 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire'.

Aguilera's song joins Coldplay's 'Atlas' on the highly-anticipated movie's soundtrack and it will be called 'We Remain', reported Ace Showbiz.

"Love the underlying message of @TheHungerGames. 'We Remain' is a special new song, its message to my fans & how I connect with the movie, alike," Aguilera tweeted.

Rock band The National have also written a song for the second installment of 'The Hunger Games' trilogy.

The band's frontman, Matt Berninger, said that he and his bandmates had written a song called 'Dying Is Easy'. The title was then changed into 'Lean' because the film producer thought the original title was "too dark."

'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' is slated to release in the US on November 22.
