Churu coldest at 8.4 degree C

With northerly cold winds sweeping across the state, people in Churu experienced the coldest night in Rajasthan where the minimum temperature plummeted to 8.4 degree C last night, a MeT report said.

Mercury dipped by one to four degrees C at all places due to arrival of winter winds in the state, the report said.

While on hills, Mount Abu recorded a minimum temperature of 9.0 degrees C followed by Sriganganagar 10.4 deg C, Pilani 11.4 deg C, Arenpura 12.8 deg C, Bikaner 13 deg C, Jaisalmer 14.8 deg C, Jaipur 15 deg C, Udaipur 15.1 deg C, and Barmer 16.6 degrees C.
 

Cold conditions will intensify in next couple of days as northerly winds continue to sweep the state, the forecast said.
