Churu was the hottest place in Rajasthan today recording a maximum temperature of 42.7 degrees Celsius.
Several other cities in the state also experienced hot weather conditions today.
The maximum temperature recorded in Kota was 41.8 degrees Celsius, 40.5 in Ganganagar, 40.3 in Jaipur, 40 in Barmer and Bikaner, 39.8 in Jaisalmer, 39.7 in Pilani, 39.1 in Jodhpur, 38.5 in Ajmer and 36.6 degrees Celsius in Dabok.
In the last 24 hours, light to moderate rainfall occurred at isolated places.
The MeT department has predicted dust storm/thunderstorm at some places in the state.
